Design Philosphy

Great design emerges from co-creation, where diverse perspectives shape solutions and decisions are guided by evidence and user needs rather than hierarchy.

I listen deeply, question assumptions, and design solutions that balance creativity with logic to craft solutions that meaningfully impact users' lives.

Design Process

Design is not linear, but while I navigate the twists and turns, a design thinking framework keeps me orientated as I adapt, test and refine along the way.

01

Discovery

Understanding users, contexts, and problems through research, interviews, and observation reveals the insights that shape everything we create for the user.

02

Define

Research becomes direction when synthesized into clear problem statements, user needs, and design principles that shape solutions and guide decisions

03

Ideate

Brainstorming, sketching, and co-creation help explore diverse solutions without constraints, generating possibilities before narrowing down the strongest ideas.

04

Prototype

Prototyping brings concepts to life from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity clickable prototypes that make ideas tangible enough to test with users and stakeholders.

05

Test

Putting prototypes in users' hands reveals how they interact, what breaks, and what works, gathering feedback that drives iteration and informed decisions.

06

Impact

Design doesn't end at launch. Measuring adoption, usage, and outcomes holds solutions accountable to their goals and informs continuous improvement.

07

Reflect

Stepping back to assess what worked and what didn't generates learnings that shape how future challenges are approached.

Outside Work

Philosophy

I love questioning life beyond daily routines, exploring deeper meaning and purpose.

Movement

From yoga and hiking to calisthenics and gym sessions, staying active keeps me grounded and focused.

Builder and tinkerer

I geek out on microcontrollers and IoT projects - they let me bridge design and engineering, turning concepts into working physical prototypes.

Adventure

I love adventure and pushing my limits. I walked the Camino from Portugal to Spain and spent a month in India diving deep into yoga philosophy.

Photography and music

Photography and music keep me creatively grounded outside of design work.
